Sustainable Development Goals

Analyzing the world with the five themes of geography help people understand connections between people and the earth because it shows how with location you can find a certain spot that you need to find, with place you can see what the place is like or with region, you can see the different areas and how they relate to each other. I think region is the theme that is most difficult to understand. I think this because sometimes it gets confused with other themes like place. I learned that with region borders don’t matter but i thought they did so I was confused for a while.

Map Skills Reflection

Something I find easy about map skills are continents and ocean names. This is easy because it’s not that hard for me to remember the 7 continents and the 5 oceans. Something that is difficult for me is cardinal directions because I can’t tell which direction I’m facing in real life without a compass, but I can tell the directions on a map. Basic map skills are necessary because they will help you read maps which can help you find places when you need to. They help you understand geography because you get a better understanding of maps.
